About Austin Legends
 Roger Austin Sr. owner and founder or Austin legends has been a racer himself since the 1970’s. From Dirt bikes, Street Bikes, Drag Racing, Dirt and Asphalt Ovals, and Road Courses, Roger Sr. has proven himself on just about everything. Roger raced Late Model Stocks at the Historic Old Dominion Speedway for Over 20 Years winning races and multiple championships in his own cars, while building cars for friends and customers that would win too! Late Models, Mini Stocks, Street Stocks, Drag cars, Tractor Pullers, Roger Sr. has built it all.
In 1996 Roger  got out of late models to give his son, Roger Jr. the opportunity to race go-karts full time. They climbed through the karting ranks accumulating more than 200 Feature wins from 1996 to 2000, and 8 Championships including a WKA National title in 2000. In 2001, Roger Jr. moved into the Legends Series at ODS and quickly became one of the top running cars with everything done in garage. Roger Jr. became the only driver to win at ODS during his rookie season, a record shared today with only one other driver. Roger Sr. was soon overwhelmed with local Legends racers wanting setups, coaching, service and repairs. Roger Sr. later purchased Legends Cars of Northern Virginia and changed the name to Austin Legends.
Since 2003, Austin Legends has been the driving force behind multiple oval track championships, several state championships, hundreds of wins including two road race National wins, dirt national runner-up, and the 2005 Legends World Road Race National Championship with Austin Legends built cars and setups. Austin Legends has established itself as a knowledgeable and successful Legends dealer, promoter, car owner, driver, repair specialist, and setup guru for Asphalt, Dirt, and Road Courses in the Legends Car Series. Roger Sr. still gets his helmet out of the bag from time to time to go racing, so watch out because he is still fast.
In and Around the Shop
We have made several additions at Austin Legends since the completion of our 1,600 sq ft shop. A perfectly level steel surface plate has been installed ensuring accurate and consistent legends car setups.
A new four post lift for storage when not in use with the Bear Automotive computer alignment for doing spec Miata setups. It has been very popular with the Road racing crowd.
Another favorite addition at the shop has been a Bridgeport Vertical Mill and 6 foot lathe adding to our capabilities to manufacture, fabricate and modify just about anything.
The new heavy duty industrial parts washer makes cleaning greasy parts a breeze. And the new Shock Dyno as proved to be very valuable asset for checking shocks and giving us yet another winning edge on our competition.
As well as improving the shop, we have improved our track hauler with a new 48 foot, 8 car stacker to better serve you at the track and to make it more cost effective to team up for those long hauls. We keep it fully stocked with the parts and tools needed to repair your car at the track.
