 Created in April of
1992, Legends Cars are real purpose-built race cars constructed by 600
Racing, Inc. The Legends’ main objective is to control and lower the
increasing cost of the sport. Strict rules limit modifications and
common, mass production parts keep the true costs down and the competition
fierce. A brand new car begins at $12,995. Quality “certified”
used cars can be easily found for much less. After your initial
purchase, your first full racing season can be run for less than $1,000.
The
Legends Car is a real race car, consisting of a tubular race chasis,
roll cage and safety equipment. The Yamaha 1250cc motorcycle engine
makes 120+ horsepower. Each car weights a minimum of 1100 lbs. – 1300
lbs. with driver. While originally designed for asphalt oval track
racing, Legends cars are raced around the world on dirt tracks and road
courses.
